Let us also love our neighbors as ourselves. Let us have charity and humility. Let us give alms because these cleanse our souls from the stains of sin. Men lose all the material things they leave behind them in this world, but they carry with them the reward of their charity and the alms they give. For these they will receive from the Lord the reward and recompense they deserve
Pope Francis reminds us that our primary concern should be to serve others, especially those who are disadvantaged and lacking in material resources. Thus, we regularly examine how we can more effectively achieve this mission. The St. Francis of Assisi Fund, within the Catholic Community Foundation, emboldens our efforts.
With a goal of raising a minimum of $1 million, opportunities for individual named sub-funds within The Assisi Fund are being considered. As we move nearer our goal, we will publish our guidance for Assisi Fund grant requests and distributions.
To make a gift in support of The St. Francis of Assisi Fund today, please find it within our Ministry & Outreach Funds section in our online giving page here.
