Establish Named Fund

To establish a private charitable foundation usually requires hundreds of thousands of dollars. Through the Catholic Community Foundation, anyone can establish their own named trust fund with an initial gift of $1,000 and a commitment to contribute a total of $25,000 to the fund with gifts made either during their lifetime or by a deferred gift such as a bequest, gift annuity, beneficiary of an IRA or life insurance policy or other charitable trust arrangement. Assets you can use to fund this gift could include: cash, marketable securities, closely held stock, real estate, stock options, retirement plans, or insurance policies.
